Data Collection We may collect technical and usage information, such as device model, OS version, app usage statistics, and crash reports. This data is collected anonymously and used solely to improve the app experience. 2. Use of Data Collected data is used for performance optimization, bug fixing, and feature improvements. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties. 3. Permissions The app may request permissions strictly necessary for its functionality. We always ask for your consent before accessing sensitive information. 4. Data Storage and Security Data may be stored locally or on secure cloud services like Firebase, complying with GDPR and other international standards. We implement reasonable security measures to protect data. 5. User Rights You have the right to revoke permissions and request deletion of your data via system settings or by contacting us. 6. Background firmware (ROM) update checks On Xiaomi devices, the mobile app may periodically check for HyperOS/MIUI updates in the background and compare the installed build with the Otree.pro firmware catalog. For this purpose, only technical data may be sent to our server (api.otree.pro): device codename, firmware region, build version (incremental), Android version, device manufacturer, and summarized data from Xiaomi’s official update service (miota), including version numbers and download links. We do not transmit accounts, contacts, photos, messages, or other personal content on your device. This data is used to keep the firmware catalog up to date and to inform the community about new releases. The check runs as part of normal app operation and does not require a separate opt-in in the app UI. Push notifications about available ROM updates still depend only on your system notification permission. 7. Telegram bot and chat moderation Our Telegram bot (@otreepro_atom_bot) moderates Otree.pro communities, tracks a member rating, and protects chats from spam and abuse. To do this, the bot may process: your Telegram ID, username, name, and interface language; the fact of joining or leaving a chat; messages and actions in moderated chats needed for anti-spam and profanity filters; rating points; warning, temporary restriction (mute), and ban statuses; technical bot logs. We keep message text no longer than needed to review a violation — in most cases, user ID, chat ID, message ID, action type, and event time are enough for moderation, without the full message text. This data is used only for moderation, rating, and community protection, and is not shared with or sold to third parties. The bot processes data based on your consent, which is considered given when you pass the chat's join verification or first contact the bot.
