This issue occurs on Telegram's side. Users have reported this before. Unfortunately, the only fix is reinstalling the messenger.
I downloaded the update, but it is not in the file manager!
This issue is resolved by removing file manager updates and clearing the cache.
The update won't install!
There can be several reasons: · System component updates may not work on custom ROMs. · Your version may be newer! Then the update won't install. · The region of your firmware and app differs from the update region. Except for rare cases, we only publish global versions. · Your system is outdated and may not support current versions. · Make sure the update is intended for your device type (Smartphone/Tablet/Mix Flip) If you think the problem is something else, write to us in the [chat](https://t.me/otreechatglobal).

My device is not AER certified!
We are sorry, but not all devices are included in this list. It only affects the availability of information about which Android version your device will receive.
My device is in AER, but the app says otherwise!
Check the lists and make sure the device has not yet received the latest Android version listed there. If the versions match, it means the app is informing you about the end of new version development and is displaying correctly. If the device has not yet received the latest version, write to us in [channel PM](https://t.me/c/1072466116711/1) to verify the database. We will quickly resolve the issue.
I am not receiving notifications!
If you have Chinese firmware — disable restrictions for the app and allow it to run in the background. Our app is generally designed to sleep in the background and activate only when it receives a signal about a new version. For notifications to work correctly, the app checks the language and installed version, so we recommend disabling all power restrictions and enabling auto-start. If you have a newer version installed, an incompatible device type, brand, or your device does not meet minimum requirements, the notification will not appear.
Why doesn't Telegram launch when following the update link?
This is a common issue; you need to allow Telegram to open its internal links directly in the app in the application settings.
